Staff at an Ely-based firm of chartered accountants, business advisers and financial planners have celebrated their first anniversary of becoming part of one of the  region’s leading firms, Lovewell Blake – with the news that business is booming for the Lynn Road-based team.

Long-standing Ely firm Youngman & Co became part of Lovewell Blake in February 2016, following the retirement of its founder, John Youngman.  The move brought one of East Anglia’s most respected names in accountancy into Ely, as well as widening the range of services available to clients in the city and surrounding area.

“We are delighted to be celebrating our first year in Ely, “said Leigh Thurston, manager at the Ely office.  “When we came to Ely we promised that we would provide the same level of service which Youngman & Co clients had come to expect, backed up by access to a wider range of services and specialist expertise.

“I’m delighted to say that approach has seen business at the office grow over the 12 month period.  Ely and the surrounding area continues to perform strongly, and we are very pleased that we have managed to open our first Cambridgeshire office here.”

Founded in 1858, Lovewell Blake now has ten offices in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
