‘Managing The Farmed Environment’ will be the focus of the first joint NFU/Lovewell Blake Farmers’ Evening of 2022, when two experts from Brown & Co’s environmental services team will take a broad-ranging view of the various issues facing farming in the coming years.

Abigail Maynard and Katie Crawford from Brown & Co will cover a range of topics in their presentation, including the Sustainable Farming Incentive, the Environmental Land Management Scheme, Countryside Stewardship, Stewardship grant funding, Woodland Funding, and carbon.

The pair will present their thoughts at the evening, which takes place in Halesworth on Wednesday 9th March.

Ms Maynard, who heads up Brown & Co’s environmental services department, has a degree in Environmental Science specialising in soil science, hydrology and ecology, and since joining Brown & Co has specialised in the design, application, implementation and management of over 150 Stewardship agreements.  Ms Crawford works in the firm’s Agricultural Business Consultancy.

Lovewell Blake agricultural partner Ryan Lincoln, who will be chairing the event, said, “The farming environment will be front of mind for every farmer, with a raft of new initiatives to get to grips with in the coming years.  Abby and Katie’s presentation will give a wide view of what is in store for the agricultural sector, and will be an extremely useful overview.

“These Farmers’ Evenings are also a valued opportunity to mix socially with other farmers, and we are delighted to be able to be meeting in person once again.”

The event takes place at Halesworth Golf club on Wednesday 9th March at 7.30pm, and the presentation will be followed by a buffet supper.  Attendance is free, but places need to be booked in advance, by visiting https://www.lovewell-blake.co.uk/events.
