LOVEWELL BLAKE ANNOUNCES NEW SENIOR PARTNER

30th Sep 2020
Mark Proctor senior partner at Lovewell Blake

Chartered accountants Lovewell Blake have appointed Mark Proctor as senior partner, replacing Paul Briddon, who is stepping down after five years in the role.

The appointment is the culmination of a two decade career at Lovewell Blake for Mr Proctor, who joined the firm as a 22 year-old trainee accountant in 2000, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2004.

He is the lead partner for Lovewell Blake’s Charities and Schools specialism, and is an often quoted expert on financial issues relating to the two sectors.  He completed a post Graduate Diploma in Charity Accounting and Financial Management in 2010.

Mr Proctor said, “This is a challenging time for every business, and we are having to find innovative ways of supporting our clients in these extraordinary circumstances.  I see a key part of my role over the coming months and years as being to connect people, both within the firm and in the wider business community.

“We have ambitions for further growth as we strengthen our position as one of the most dynamic accountancy firms in the region.  The coming years will see further growth into Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, as we build on our position as one of the leading independent firms in Norfolk.

“I am looking forward to leading the firm, along with managing partner Colin Fish, into an exciting future.”

Mr Proctor takes over the role of senior partner on 1st October.  Mr Briddon will continue as a partner in the firm, specialising in providing audit compliance and advisory services.
