Chartered accountants Lovewell Blake have appointed Kevin Bunting as managing partner, replacing Colin Fish, who is stepping down after six years in the role.

The appointment is the culmination of more than two decades at Lovewell Blake for Mr Bunting, who joined the firm in 1999, qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2004.

He is a tax partner based at the firm’s Great Yarmouth office.  His new role will see him take responsibility for the smooth running of the firm, regulatory compliance and driving forward Lovewell Blake’s corporate strategy.

Mr Bunting said, “As we emerge from a turbulent few years which have seen the UK leave the EU, a worldwide pandemic, a revolution in the way that our own and our clients’ staff work, and an acceleration of the changes in business brought about by the digital revolution, our role as accountants and business advisers has also evolved, and we have to continue to be agile and open to change to stay ahead of these advancements.

“We have ambitions for further growth as we strengthen our position as one of the most dynamic accountancy firms in the region, both in Norfolk, and also as we grow our presence in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.  My role will be to make sure that Lovewell Blake is in a strong position to meet both current and future challenges.

“I am looking forward to leading the firm, along with senior partner Mark Proctor, into an exciting future.”

Mr Fish will continue as a partner in the firm, specialising in providing tax advice to entrepreneurial businesses and their owners.
