FORMER ‘FARM ADVISOR OF THE YEAR’ TO SPEAK AT LATEST FARMERS EVENING

7th Oct 2019
Jamie Gwatkin

A former Farmers Weekly ‘Farm Advisor of the Year’ will be the speaker at the latest Lovewell Blake/Suffolk Coastal NFU Farmers’ Evening in Halesworth on Wednesday 30th October – the day before the UK is currently due to leave the European Union.

Jamie Gwatkin, who is a rural business consultant with over 30 years’ experience and who specialises in arable businesses and pigs, will be giving a wide-ranging presentation, which will include his overview on a No Deal Brexit, as well as talking about gross margin analysis and current developments in the pig industry.  He will round off his presentation with a ‘Recipe for the Future’

“We are delighted to welcome one of the region’s top agricultural consultants - and the 2016 winner of the prestigious Farmers weekly Farm Advisor of the Year award – as the speaker at our latest Farmers’ Evening,” said Lovewell Blake agricultural services partner Ryan Lincoln, who will chair the meeting.

“His wide-ranging presentation will be thought-provoking and timely – he has an industry-wide reputation for helping farm businesses build strong futures, whatever challenges they face.

“These farmers’ evenings are always a convivial way of catching up with the latest developments in the farming world.”

The Farmers’ Evening is one of a series of such presentations organised by Lovewell Blake’s agriculture team, in conjunction with Suffolk Coastal NFU.   The event takes place at Halesworth Golf Club on Wednesday 30th October at 7.30pm, and will include a buffet.  Attendance is free; to book a place, call Ryan Lincoln on 01986 873163 or email r.lincoln@lovewell-blake.co.uk.
