Victory Housing Trust has appointed two new members of its Board, the body which has ultimate responsibility for setting policy for the Trust, and for the way it is run.

Chartered accountant Doris Jamieson has an Honours degree in Economics, and has a particular interest in governance and applying her business experience to support charities - having served on a number of charity boards and school governing bodies around the UK.  She is currently an independent chair of the Membership & Standards Committee for Citizens Advice, and advisor to a number of local charities.

North Walsham resident Zoe Slater studied at UEA Norwich, where she gained a Masters in Economics.  A project finance specialist, she works primarily on public sector transactions to build, maintain and operate new community assets such as health centres, schools and social housing.

Welcoming the two new Board members, Victory chairman Clare Barter said, "Doris and Zoe bring valuable financial and governance skills and experience to our Board, at a time when we are committing to considerable investment in building new affordable housing, and improving our existing stock.

"A strong Board is vital to provide direction and support for our excellent management team and staff, to ensure that Victory acts in an efficient and effective way to fulfil our core objectives."

The Victory Housing Trust Board is currently made up of eight members - six independent members and two Victory residents.
