TOP NORWICH RESTAURANT LAUNCHES COLLECTION MENU
One of Norwich’s top restaurants has launched a collection menu, allowing people to enjoy fine dining in the safety of their own homes.
Roger Hickman’s Restaurant, on Upper St Giles in the city, will be offering the menu from Tuesday to Saturday, starting tomorrow (Tuesday 24th March).
The menu has three choices for starters, mains and desserts, as well as a selection of side dishes. Each course has at least one vegetarian option.
“Like all restaurants, we are now closed, but we wanted to keep as many of our staff employed as possible, as well as bringing some much-needed enjoyment to food-lovers in these difficult times,” said chef-proprietor Roger Hickman.
“We have been overwhelmed with the support shown by our customers, who realise that these are very tough times for independent restaurants. When it became clear that we weren’t going to be able to carry on operating as a restaurant safely, several people asked if we would do a takeaway menu, and we have responded.”
The menu is for collection only. However, the restaurant says it will try and find a way to deliver to those who are unable to collect, such as the elderly, disabled or those self-isolating.
“Like everybody else, we are having to make this up as we are going along a little bit, but we will do everything we can to ensure those who can’t get to us to collect their meals can still take advantage,” said Mr Hickman. “Please call us, and we will do everything in our power to make it happen.”
The collection menu at Roger Hickman’s Restaurant is available from Tuesday to Thursday 12pm-9pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 12pm-10pm. To order, call 01603 633522 during these hours.
