Children at a Swaffham primary school have a whole load of new books to read – after a Book Fair held before Christmas raised over £700.

Organised by Swaffham Primary Academy librarian Angela Sharman, aided by three enthusiastic pupils, the Fair saw a range of books on sale to children and parents at the school, with profits being used to add to the school’s growing library.

“We are really grateful to parents, carers and students for supporting our latest Book Fair,” said head teacher Nicola Kaye.  “Not only were they able to find lots of last minute Christmas presents, but by buying books they were also helping us to purchase new titles for all the children in the school to enjoy.

“We work very hard to promote a love of reading among all the children at the school, and a dynamic and constantly-refreshed selection of books in the library is a key part of this.”
