A talented Norfolk chef is returning to his city roots after spending three years gaining valuable experience in two London’s restaurant kitchens.

The Last Wine Bar has announced that Lewis Peck is to return as sous chef, working alongside head chef Iain McCarten.  Mr Peck first worked in the kitchens at The Last in 2005, before becoming head chef of the restaurant’s former Unthank Road offshoot, The Last Brasserie, in 2012.

In 2015 he decided to move to the capital to gain wider experience, starting as senior sous chef at The Chancery, a busy city restaurant in Holborn, before being appointed head chef at the up-and-coming Rotorino in Dalston.

Welcoming him back to the team at The Last Wine Bar head chef Iain McCarten commented, “we are delighted that Lewis is returning to the team at The Last, and he will undoubtedly bring with him the benefits of his experience working in two of London’s most exciting kitchens.

“He will be a terrific addition to the team, and I am really looking forward to cooking up some amazing dishes with him.”
