MASSIVE WAREHOUSE DEAL SET TO CREATE NEW JOBS IN SHIPDHAM

A huge 32,000 sq ft warehouse in Shipdham is to become an additional UK fulfilment centre for a leading games distributor creating up to 15 new jobs – just months after a similar deal on the same site brought leading Polish furniture company Dako Furniture to the town.
Norfolk property services firm Arnolds Keys brokered both deals on the two large buildings on Shipdham Airfield Industrial Estate on behalf of their owner H.G.Pledger (Storage) Ltd, with a total of 92,000 sq ft let between the two.
The latest deal will see Zatu Games create afulfilment and distribution centre on the site, adding to the existing two fulfilment centres with their head office in Norwich. The firm, which claims to be the UK’s biggest independent games retailer, ships an extensive range of board games and role-playing games to customers right across the world.
“These two deals together represent one of the biggest industrial property lettings in Norfolk in recent years,” said Nick O’Leary, head of commercial agency at Arnolds Keys.
“With a massive space with six metre eaves height, full height loading doors and substantial pallet racking, the building was able to meet Zatu’s needs completely, offering them room to expand their business and create new employment opportunities for local people.”
Dominic Martin, head of business development at Zatu Games, added, “This building is perfect for us, with good access and plenty of room for us to create a really efficient fulfilment and distribution centre. Expanding our fulfilment operation has been key to our growth as a brand, and now with expansion to our distribution arm too, we need the space to facilitate this.”
