LOCAL HOUSE BUILDER NAMED AS BLUES FESTIVAL SPONSOR
A Norfolk house builder is set to help bring live music to Dereham - following the announcement that Abel Homes is the newest sponsor of the hugely successful Dereham Blues Festival.
The five day event, which features a long roster of national and local Blues performers, takes place from 1st-5th July in the town, with concerts hosted by 14 pubs, clubs and other venues. The festival is run by a committee of volunteers on a non-profit-making basis.
Abel Homes, which is currently building 216 energy-efficient family homes on Swanton Road in the town, has signed up as a sponsor as part of a programme of community involvement in the town, which also saw the firm supporting the hugely successful Dereham Day earlier this month.
Festival committee member Graham Clarkson said, “We are delighted that such a highly respected local house builder has chosen to support the Festival this year.
“The Dereham Blues Festival brings over 10,000 people to the town to enjoy the music, and in doing so they support Dereham’s pubs and clubs hugely. Our sponsors play a big role in making it all possible.”
Abel Homes managing director Paul LeGrice added, “As a local firm, we always make an effort to get involved in the communities where we are building homes – and where our staff live and work.
“The Dereham Blues Festival is such a huge success, and we are proud to become one of its sponsors. We can’t wait for the music to start!”
The 2026 Dereham Blues Festival runs from Wednesday 1st July to Sunday 5th July. Full details at www.derehambluesfestival.org.uk.
