Teams from businesses across Norfolk helped to raise £4,000 for Norfolk’s sight loss local charity at a golf day.  Around 50 golfers joined former Norwich City players Jeremy Goss and Rob Newman at Bawburgh Golf Club for the event, in aid of the Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind.

Overall winners of the competition were a team from Barclays, consisting of Karl Arnold, Mark Davis, James Drake and James Phillips, beating the team from HSBC into second place by the narrowest of margins.

Jeremy Goss, head of fundraising at the charity, said, “We are delighted with the amount raised at our golf day, a sum which was helped considerably by generous sponsorship by Barclays, Holden Motors, ABC Packaging and Van Vino, as well as support from Bawburgh Golf Club.

“Our annual golf day is a great opportunity for members of the local business community to network, have fun, and raise money for a local charity, and we are once again very grateful for everybody’s support.”
