North Walsham High School has further strengthened its teaching staff with the appointment of four new teachers, who have arrived just as students at the school move up a year.

Head teacher Neil Powell welcomed the quartet to the school, saying that the appointments further strengthen the depth and quality of curriculum delivery for students.

Joining the school this half term are:

  • Former RAF engineer and Great Yarmouth College teacher Sean Robson, who will teach engineering
  • Science teacher Adam Pittman, who has previously taught at Springwood High School in King’s Lynn and Wymondham College
  • History teacher Chelsey Ramsbottom, who has previously taught at Thorpe St Andrew School and Wymondham High School
  • Geography teacher Sam Slade, who recently completed his PGCE at the University of East Anglia

Welcoming them, Neil Powell commented, “We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues.  I have previously pledged that we will continue to strengthen the teaching body here at North Walsham High School, and these appointments are further evidence that we are doing just that.

“We continue to work towards better outcomes and higher achievements for our students, and a very strong teaching body is an integral part of that improvement plan.”

Students at NWHS move up a year after the Whitsun half-term break, giving GCSE students a full 12 months in Year 11 before starting their exams.
