Cello Health has announced three senior appointments, signalling a further strengthening of its management structure as the healthcare specialist continues to grow.

Jon Bircher has become Chief Commercial Officer, joining the Cello Health Board in a new position aimed at building the brand positioning and proposition in the marketplace. He will assume responsibility for market positioning and reputation, as well as the commercialisation of key cross-capability offerings.

Jon joined Cello Health Consulting (formerly The MSI Consultancy) exactly ten years ago, following marketing roles with Sanofi, AZ and Pfizer. He will report to Chairman Stephen Highley, working alongside regional CEOs Jane Shirley (Europe) and Julia Ralston (US). Alongside this new responsibility, Jon will continue in his role as CEO of the Global Consulting business.

Meanwhile, the joint CEOs and founders of healthcare communications agency iS Health Group, which became part of Cello Health in May 2014, have been appointed to leadership roles in the medical and marketing communications part of the business, Cello Health Communications Europe.

Isaac Batley has become Chief Operating Officer Europe, responsible for the leadership and stewardship of current core business. Alongside him, Steve Smith has become Chief Commercial Development Officer Europe, responsible for developing new business propositions, services and products. Both will continue with their existing roles in iS Health Group.

Cello Health Chairman Stephen Highley commented, “These senior appointments are about continuing to strengthen the leadership structure across Cello Health as we develop and grow.

“Jon has played a key role in the development of our Consulting offer and its excellent growth, particularly in the US, and we are pleased to bring his talent and vision to the Board.

“Meanwhile Isaac and Steve’s new roles will enable us to work together more effectively and add value to the Cello Health Communications proposition, as we seek to take advantage of the enormous opportunities in the medical and marketing communications arena in 2016 and beyond.”
