Four blind models are to take to the catwalk next week for a charity fashion show at a Norwich department store.

Ed Bates, Louise Bunting, Carl Porter and Rachel Andrews (with her guide dog Stella) have all bravely volunteered to be models at the show, which is being staged by Jarrold in Norwich in aid of the Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind (NNAB).

The four will join sighted models in a catwalk fashion show during the evening, which will also feature hair and beauty demonstrations, a raffle in aid of the charity, and 20 per cent off fashion purchase for ladies fashions on the night.

Ed Bates, one of the four blind models, said, “I am always up for new experiences, and having blind models on the catwalk alongside the sighted models will show that sight loss does not mean you can’t live a full and independent life.”

Tickets for the evening, which takes place on Thursday 20th October at 6.15pm for 6.30pm in The Pantry Restaurant in the store, are available by calling 01603 629558, or calling into the NNAB’s Bradbury Activity Centre at Beckham Place, off Edward Street in Norwich.  Tickets cost £10, with all proceeds going to the NNAB.
