BAGPIPES, WINE, WHISKY AND HAGGIS: IT’S BURNS NIGHT AT CHET VALLEY VINEYARD
A complete Burns Night experience is in prospect at one of Norfolk’s leading vineyards, complete with bagpiper serenading the haggis, quality Scotch whisky, and a traditional Burns Night supper accompanied by some of the county’s top wines.
Chet Valley Vineyard’s Burns Night supper takes place on Saturday 24th January, when a traditional menu of Cullen Skink (smoked haddock soup), haggis, neeps and tatties, and cranachan (raspberries and cream with oats and whisky) will be matched to wines from the vineyard.
The evening will also - of course - include a dram or two of quality Scotch malt whisky supplied by local Scotch whisky cask specialists MacInnes Whisky.
All of the traditions of Burns Night will be respected, including the piping in of the haggis by local bagpiper John Innes, and the ‘Address to a Haggis’ by Robert Burns.
Tickets for the Burns Night supper, which takes place from 6pm on Saturday 24th January, cost £40 a head, including a three course meal, a glass of Chet Valley Vineyard wine with each course, and a tot of whisky.
