Abel Homes

Client since 2007

Abel Homes is a small, family-owned house builder based in the Norfolk market town of Watton.  Founded in the early 1990s by Tony and Maggie Abel (who still own and run the company), Abel Homes builds family homes, principally in the county’s market towns, where the need for housing is acute.

It develops primarily brown-field sites where the resulting regeneration enhances the surroundings and brings new life to the local community.  It also carefully selects architects with the necessary local knowledge and experience to ensure it achieves an outcome which is sympathetic to the existing neighbourhood.  Its projects are not huge, faceless developments, but rather smaller, human-scale sites of typically between 30 and 80 new homes.

The company has grown over the years, but still holds tight to the tenets of a small, family-owned business - amongst which are innovation and individuality in design; excellent customer service; and a commitment to the quality of the environment, in every sense of the word.

More recently, the firm has used its growing skills and knowledge in renewable energy to create a sister company, Abel Energy, which offers a variety of renewable energy solutions to commercial, agricultural and residential customers.
