Abel Homes

Client since 2007

Abel Homes is one of the leading Norfolk-based house builders.  An independent, family-owned business, it was founded in the early 1990s by Tony and Maggie Abel; Tony is still chairman of the company, and Maggie continues to play an active role, particularly in the design side.

The firm builds family homes, principally in the county’s market towns, where the need for housing is acute.  It develops primarily brown-field sites where the resulting regeneration enhances the surroundings and brings new life to the local community.

It also carefully selects architects with the necessary local knowledge and experience to ensure it achieves an outcome which is sympathetic to the existing neighbourhood.  The company has grown over the years, but still holds tight to the tenets of a small, family-owned business - amongst which are innovation and individuality in design; excellent customer service; and a commitment to the quality of the environment, in every sense of the word.

Abel Homes has for many years been a leader in designing and building environmentally-sustainable homes in Norfolk.  It has led the way in introducing environmental features such as photo-voltaic solar panels, triple-glazing, air source heat pumps and extremely high levels of insulation.
