FINE JUNKO MORI SILVER SCULPTURE STARS IN KEYS’ SUMMER FINE SALE

A fine silver sculpture by Japanese-born and Wales-based artist Junko Mori (born 1974) is going under the hammer as part of Keys Fine Art Auctioneers’ three day Summer Fine Sale on Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th July, which takes place at the firm’s Aylsham, Norfolk salerooms.

Made in 2009, the piece is called ‘Textured Silver Organism’ and is made of Fine Silver 999.  It has a pre-sale estimate of £1,500-£2,000.

Mori was born in Yokohama and studied Industrial, Interior and Craft Design/metalwork at the Musashino Art University in Tokyo, before undertaking a BA in Silversmithing at Camberwell College of Arts.

Her work is exhibited in a number of public collections around the world, including The British Museum, the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg, The Victoria and Albert Museum and the Art Gallery of South Australia in Adelaide.
